My friend Richard Foltz (1942-2014) wrote a nondenominational song at the end of each year ever since he was a young man in Virginia, then sent sheet music for each song to family and friends as his holiday cards. He recorded 13 of his favorites in 1996, with friends and colleagues from New York City’s collective, Outmusic. I was proud to be included and grateful to work with him and these remarkable musicians, as well as to design the CD packaging and promotion for this album, which I find to be timeless. Enjoy!
